Terms of Use

1Agreeing to this

These terms are an agreement between you and MAROTECH SOLUTIONS of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia ("we", "us"), which runs HelloBill. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you use HelloBill for a business, you agree for that business too, and you confirm you may do so.

2What the app is

HelloBill lets you write invoices and quotes, send them to your clients by email or a link, remind clients who have not paid, record payments, and, if you connect a Stripe account, let clients pay online.

3It is not tax or legal advice

HelloBill does the arithmetic on what you enter, but you are responsible for your invoices: the prices, the tax you charge (such as SST), your registration details, and meeting the rules that apply to your business, including e-invoicing. Check what you send. If you are unsure, ask an accountant.

4Your account

• You must be 18 or older.
• Give a real email address you can read, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
• Tell us straight away at support@hellobill.my if you think someone else has used it.

5What you must not do with it

• Send invoices or quotes for goods or services that do not exist, or anything meant to deceive or defraud.
• Use it to send spam, or to send messages to people who have not dealt with your business.
• Break the law, or anyone else's rights, with it.
• Try to reach other people's data, test or break our security, or put a heavy load on our servers on purpose.
• Upload anything harmful, such as viruses, or copy, resell or take apart the app.

6What you put in it stays yours

Your business details, clients, invoices and files belong to you. You let us store, process and send them only to run HelloBill for you, as our Privacy Policy describes. You confirm you are allowed to give us your clients' details for this.

7What is ours

The app, its design, its name and its logo belong to us. You may use the app as these terms allow, and nothing more.

8What it costs

Free

The Free plan costs nothing. It includes 20 new invoices a month and may change; we will tell you in the app first.

Pro

• HelloBill Pro is a monthly subscription that removes the monthly invoice limit. Its price is shown in the app before you buy.
• You pay through your phone's app store account, which takes the payment when you confirm the purchase.
• Free trial. New subscribers may get Pro free for the first 7 days, when the app store shows the offer before you buy (one trial per app store account). Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your app store account is charged the monthly price.
• It renews automatically each month at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your app store account is charged within 24 hours before each renewal.
• Cancel any time in your app store account's subscription settings, or from Manage subscription in the app. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription by itself.
• Refunds are handled by the app store under its own rules.
• If we change the price, the app store will tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

Online payments

HelloBill charges no fee for online payments. Stripe charges its own fee for each payment, under your agreement with Stripe.

9What we do not promise

We work to keep HelloBill running and your data safe, but we provide it "as is". We do not promise it will always be available or free of faults, or that every email or reminder will arrive. Keep your own copies of anything you must keep by law (you can download each invoice as a PDF).

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost business or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that the law says cannot be taken away.

10Ending it

You can stop using HelloBill and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is used for fraud. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

11The app stores

These terms are between you and us only, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.

12Which law, and where

Malaysian law governs these terms, and the courts of Malaysia decide any dispute about them.

13Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. If you keep using HelloBill after that, you accept the new terms.
